Adam R. Abel
I graduated from Loomis Chaffee in Windsor, Connecticut in the top 10% of my class, with a 3.85 GPA. I am currently a student at Tufts University, double majoring in Economics and Biology. At Tufts, I am on the executive board of “Read by the River”, a Boston literacy festival aimed at improving the academic performance of elementary school children. Last spring, I was selected as a visiting undergraduate at Harvard College, where I studied economics, biology, and organic chemistry. I have been an instructor for Ivy Bound since 2009, and have enjoyed working with students to maximize their academic success. I have tutored 36 private clients, as well as several group classes. In my time with Ivy Bound, I have developed a teaching style that stresses clarity, transparency, and accessibility. Communication is an integral part of the SAT prep process, and I welcome my clients to contact me via phone or email if they have questions about an assignment. I am passionate about all sections of the SAT, as well as math and science (biology, chemistry, physics). In the fall of 2012, I will begin my studies at the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine, in the DMD class of 2016. In my free time, I love saltwater fishing and following the Boston Red Sox.
