I am a lifelong resident of New York City. I have been an administrator, department chair and teacher of history and political science at various private schools including: The Lenox School, the Calhoun School, Park East Day School, the Yeshiva of Flatbush and Columbia Prep. Among the subjects I have taught are AP courses in US Government and Politics, US History, World History and European History. In addition, I have taught Micro/Macro Economics, Global History and Social Studies. I was the initiator and director of the Model U.N. and Model Congress programs at Jamaica H.S., the Lenox School and Columbia Prep.
Currently I am teaching history at Bramson Ort College. Recently I served as a consultant for the NYC Department of Education on behalf of the RMC Research Corporation. I worked with teachers who had received an unsatisfactory rating and were trying to improve their teaching skills and methods.
My background includes work as a consultant/author for Random House, America’s Political System. For many years I was the editor of two weekly newspapers. In the 1970s I was quite active in political affairs and was a candidate for public office. Since then I have been engaged as a political consultant for a wide variety of office holders and candidates.
