Bix Bettwy

I have been teaching with Ivy Bound since graduating from Yale in 2008. Tutoring helped me raise my SAT score by 120 point in high school, so I know from experience that tutoring can be incredibly helpful. I knew that I wanted both theater and teaching to be a part of my career after doing a summer program in Swaziland and South Africa during college. My classmates and I worked with local artists to teach students about the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS through lectures and theatre. It was especially challenging to teach kids that had little to no fluency in English, but it was ultimately very rewarding. Currently I am pursuing my MFA in Acting at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.
