Christina Le

Wherever Christina has gone, she has strived to mentor and coach those around her. As legislative debate state champion and forensics speaking national finalist, she led workshops to help fellow debaters and public speakers, and wrote over $18,000 of grants for her school’s arts programs; many of these grants were successfully awarded. Christina also volunteered with the summer reading program at the Grand Rapids Public Libraries for several years and challenged herself by self-teaching for and taking the AP Government exam, on which she scored a 5.

Christina interned at Merrill Lynch but later chose to pursue medicine. She is currently a research assistant at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Ross research center and mentors students at the Johns Hopkins University through the Mentoring Assistance Peer Program (MAPP). She chairs the program’s social committee and was named Exemplary Mentor in 2011. Christina has created and is the director of a program that provides SAT tutoring and college guidance free of charge to underprivileged students in Baltimore.
