I graduated from the Moscow Institute of Management (currently Academy of Management) in 1980 with a major in Computer Science. While in Middle and High school, and during my college years I took part in numerous math Olympiads and computer programming competitions, often winning the top prizes. I started preparing high school students for the leading Moscow colleges' entrance exams well before I graduated from the college, and continued doing it very successfully for many years until I immigrated from Russia. I arrived in the United States in 1991, and shortly after I started my career as a computer programmer. My love for teaching eventually brought me to Ivy Bound, where I found a perfect combination of having a creative freedom and using an excellent study course.
I think my teaching method can be distinguished by my ability to quickly attune to a particular student's learning style. Years of tutoring experience allow me also to efficiently zero in on a student's weak areas and turn them into a solid foundation for more advanced studies.

COMMENTS FROM STUDENTS:
" Our son's instructor, Eugene Hazanov went in our eyes beyond what a parent could hope for. He was most supportive calling him periodically between sessions to see how he was doing with the material and providing suggestions. He would also share with me his insights as to our son's progress and difficulties he might be experiencing. The night before the tests Eugene would call wishing him luck and reviewing strategy. It was not only Eugene's knowledge, but how he increased our son's confidence with respect to the SATs that we think helped. Early on, Eugene predicted what he thought our son could score with hard work and he was right on the mark."

" I think our family really feels like we found a supportive coach and ultimately a friend in Eugene. He really demonstrated an interest in helping our son achieve the best results he was capable of. I don't know what more one could ask for. We are grateful for the role he played in our son's SAT success. "
