Larry Hong

Larry has garnered an extensive history of tutoring, beginning during his high school years with private tutoring in chemistry and algebra. He worked at the ANDYPREP Institute in Korea during the summer of 2008 teaching students who knew English as a second-language TOEFL essay writing, AP Chemistry, and English literature. He later transferred his skills to working as a Kaplan tutor in 2010 focusing on SAT Math, Reading, and Writing. The students with whom he has worked have been from a wide range: from the kindergarten level in creative writing, reading, and music, to as far as the collegiate level in chemistry and music. He values the importance of tailoring his teaching style to his students’ needs, putting his best effort into challenging and inspiring them to acquire good study habits that will benefit them years to come.
