I've spent my days increasing the average number of careers Americans enter in their lives, which is purported to be six. I have an associate degree in journalism and worked as a reporter for the Advocate newspapers. I have a bachelor's in English and a master's in secondary education. Before joining ivybound, I specialized in teaching English as a Second Language but was also an adjunct professor teaching freshman composition courses to both native and non-native (English) speakers.

Just a quick note to let you know my daughter was admitted early decision to Vassar. Her SAT scores were 670 Math, 700 verbal and 760 writing. She has always done well in English and other verbal areas, so her verbal score was not unexpected.
She has not, however, been among those who are tops in math - so I am confident her math score was a result of the training received by you. You forced her to take more math practice tests than she really wanted to do, and I am positive this helped. She also seemed to have a better grasp of math shortcuts after her sessions.
As for the writing, you were extremely helpful in giving her advice which catapulted her into the top echelon of students in this area.
Thanks again for your professional and courteous instruction and the Ivy Bound methodology. Bruce K.
I want to let you know that Michael did a wonderful job with Kelly and the improvement has been significant. I want to thank you.– Peter I. (parent of 2006 and 2007)
