Sam Hershey

     Sam has over ten years’ experience as a classroom teacher and private tutor. He spent two years as a full-time teacher of English and economics at a private high school in Manhattan before entering law school and dedicating his teaching career entirely to private tutoring. He has been working for Ivy Bound since 2001. He is consistently told by parents and students that he is the best tutor they have ever worked with.

  • Sam is a lover of opera and classical music. At Columbia Law School, he founded and led the Columbia Law Opera and Classical Society. Sam participated in speech and debate activities in high school and college, ultimately taking leadership positions on both teams. He is a world traveler, having visited over 35 foreign countries and over 30 American states. He speaks English, Spanish, Italian, and French.
