ABOUT Brian Lizotte

Brian N. Lizotte, Esq., is owner and president of Lizotte Learning Consultants, LLC. He has extensive and varied experience in teaching, tutoring, educational administration, and education law. He holds B.A. and M.S. degrees in Psychology, summa cum laude, from Yale University, where he was awarded the Alpheus Henry Snow Prize for “inspiring in his classmates an admiration and love for the best traditions of high scholarship.” The Snow Prize is Yale’s highest academic accolade. Brian also earned an Ed.M. from Boston University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

With 20 years’ experience, Brian tutors and teaches classes across a wide spectrum of standardized tests, including the SSAT, ISEE, PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT, as well as a host of SAT Subject Tests, Advanced Placement examinations, and subject courses in mathematics, writing, literature and the social sciences. He is expert in independent school, college, and graduate and professional school admissions, bringing an insider’s perspective to his consulting work.

After law school, Brian practiced law in Yale’s Office of General Counsel and at an international law firm, before being appointed Associate Provost for the Humanities at Yale. Brian has also been a mathematics teacher at the Groton School, an 8th-12th grade boarding school in Massachusetts, and served as Assistant Head of the Brearley School, a K-12 independent school in Manhattan. Brian was previously a Trustee of Greens Farms Academy in Westport, Connecticut. He has published articles in the Wisconsin Law Review and the Michigan Journal of Race & Law.
