James Rosenblum graduated from Columbia Law School in 2008, after spending his first year at UVA Law. At Columbia, he was a Stone Scholar both years (awarded to about the top third of the class). He scored 172 on the LSAT. Prior to that, James attended Yale University, graduating in 2002 with a B.A. in Political Science. He scored 1550 on the SAT, with a breakdown of 750 Math and 800 Verbal scores.

James has been teaching with Ivy Bound since 2009, and also teaches piano lessons to children and adults. With Ivy Bound, he specializes in SAT and LSAT tutoring.

James has worked as a lawyer for law firms in New York City including Skadden, Arps, et. al, LLP. He is also a concert pianist and teacher who performs occasionally in New York and abroad. His musical education includes study at Aspen in 2000-2001 with Jean-David Cöen, private study in 2007-2008 with Arkady Aronov, professor at the Manhattan School of Music, and private study in 2010-2011 with Julian Martin, professor at the Juilliard School. He and his wife, pianist Ana Gligvashvili, have, since 2010, performed as a piano duo.
