SAT & ACT Prep

The Ivy Bound Approach

For over 20 years, Ivy Bound's students have succeeded in using our very traditional approach to mastering the SAT and ACT.

Whether in class, private tutoring, or semi-private tutoring, students hear a tutor's short "lecture", grapple with actual test problems, then review those problems with the tutor.

We believe that students can reach their goals with a combination of, a collaborative process, traditional tutoring, practice tests, and diligent work.

Along the way, students hear test-taking strategies and time-management tactics.  They put these into play using practice tests from the SAT and ACT test-makers.
Many students will join us for proctored Practice Tests and online sessions to review the troublesome test questions.

Ivy Bound students enter Test Day knowing the test, their abilities on different parts of the test, and how to take on the "out-of-the-blue" questions that occasionally appear.

Our students, through our tailored teaching, good practice, and extensive reviews, can almost predict their returned score; for most diligent students, their score likely leads to big admissions offers and/or high scholarship awards.

Ivy Bound prepares students for the SAT, ACT, or both.  For 2024, going after BOTH makes more sense than ever before.

Our SAT class thus has a 10-hour "ACT add on".  Our ACT class has a 10 - 18 hour "SAT add-on”.  Private tutoring allows add-ons or melding as the student and tutor see fit.

Ivy Bound's tutors and staff are dedicated to helping students "test at their best."  YOUR success enhances our tutors and our firm's reputation, so we all work diligently towards it.

We look forward to helping you!
