Classes, Courses & Group Programs

Enrollment in an Ivy Bound class, course, or group program is generally non-refundable once purchased.

This includes situations involving scheduling conflicts, travel, changes in availability, a decision to pursue another form of preparation, or an inability to attend some or all scheduled sessions.

When circumstances permit, Ivy Bound may attempt to provide reasonable alternatives, including make-up opportunities, access to another class, account credit, continued access to materials, or another solution.

Any refund, credit, transfer, or accommodation offered by Ivy Bound is made on a case-by-case basis and does not establish an entitlement to the same accommodation for future purchases.

Private Tutoring

Payments for private tutoring are generally non-refundable.

When possible, Ivy Bound may allow unused tutoring funds or hours to be applied toward another tutor, subject, student, or Ivy Bound service.

If a discounted hourly rate was provided based on purchasing or prepaying a certain number of tutoring hours, Ivy Bound reserves the right to recalculate completed tutoring at the applicable standard rate before determining any remaining credit or discretionary refund.

Individual tutoring sessions canceled or rescheduled without sufficient notice may be charged in full in accordance with the applicable tutoring agreement or cancellation terms.

Practice Exams, Workshops, Add-Ons & Resource Access

Practice exams, workshops, supplemental classes, instructional add-ons, resource-access packages, and similar purchases are generally non-refundable.

Once access to digital materials, practice exams, instructional resources, courses, or other benefits has been provided, the associated purchase remains generally non-refundable regardless of whether the student ultimately uses all available resources.

Registration, Late-Registration & Administrative Fees

Registration fees, late-registration charges, administrative fees, and similar charges are generally non-refundable.

Payment Processing Fees

If Ivy Bound elects to issue a full or partial refund, payment-processing fees and other non-refundable transaction costs incurred by Ivy Bound may be deducted from the amount refunded.

Stripe states that processing fees from the original transaction are generally not returned when a payment is refunded.

Duplicate or Accidental Transactions

If a customer accidentally submits a duplicate payment, they should contact Ivy Bound as soon as possible.

Once confirmed, Ivy Bound will generally refund the duplicate charge. Any payment-processing or transaction costs that Ivy Bound cannot recover may be deducted from the refunded amount where appropriate.

Family Emergencies & Exceptional Circumstances

Ivy Bound understands that unexpected family situations, emergencies, illnesses, and other circumstances can arise.

Although purchases remain generally non-refundable, Ivy Bound may, at its discretion, provide a partial or full refund, account credit, transfer, make-up opportunity, continued resource access, or another reasonable accommodation.

Any exception is considered individually and does not waive or modify this policy for future purchases or other customers.

Cancellation or Changes by Ivy Bound

In the event that Ivy Bound cancels a class, program, tutoring service, practice exam, workshop, or other purchased service, Ivy Bound will first work with the family to provide reasonable alternative options.

These alternatives may include rescheduling, transferring enrollment, providing a replacement instructor or program, account credit, or another comparable solution.

If an acceptable alternative solution cannot be reached, Ivy Bound will issue a full refund for the canceled service.

Schedule changes, instructor substitutions, format changes, or other reasonable modifications that allow Ivy Bound to continue providing the purchased service do not necessarily constitute a cancellation.

Missed Sessions or Student Absences

A student's absence from a scheduled class, tutoring session, practice exam, workshop, or other service does not automatically qualify the purchase for a refund.

Whenever reasonably possible, Ivy Bound may work with families to identify available make-up opportunities, recordings, materials, credits, or other alternatives.

Promotional Pricing & Discounts

Purchases made using promotional codes, discounts, scholarships, special pricing, or other offers remain subject to this Refund & Cancellation Policy unless the specific promotion expressly states otherwise.

If Ivy Bound approves a refund involving a discounted package or bundled service, the refund may be calculated based on the value of services already received and the terms of the original promotion.

Refund Method & Processing

Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method whenever possible.

The amount of time required for a refund to appear in a customer's account is determined by the applicable payment processor, bank, or financial institution.

Policy Exceptions

Ivy Bound reserves the right to make reasonable exceptions to this policy when appropriate.

Providing an exception, credit, refund, transfer, or other accommodation in one circumstance does not obligate Ivy Bound to provide the same accommodation in another circumstance.

Agreement to Policy

By purchasing or enrolling in an Ivy Bound class, tutoring service, program, practice exam, resource package, workshop, or other service, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
