Our Approach

How Our Tutors Teach

Every Ivy Bound tutor follows a proven methodology built around the student — not a script.

01
Personalized Learning Plans
Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment. Tutors build a custom roadmap targeting the exact gaps holding a student back — no one-size-fits-all curriculum.
02
Consistent, Structured Sessions
Sessions follow a warm-up, targeted skill work, and a review cycle. Students leave every session knowing exactly what they practiced and what to do next.
03
Real Test Materials
Tutors use official SAT, ACT, AP, and subject-specific materials — not knock-offs. Students practice exactly what they'll see on test day.
04
Ongoing Parent Communication
Parents receive regular progress updates. Tutors flag concerns early and adjust the plan so families are never left guessing about their student's trajectory.
05
Score-Focused Strategy
Beyond content, tutors teach pacing, process of elimination, and test-day habits. Students learn to work smarter under time pressure — a skill that pays off across every exam.
06
Vetted, Expert Tutors
Every tutor is hand-selected by Ivy Bound's leadership — screened for subject mastery, teaching ability, and character. Students work with the best, not just the available.
