Home Repair & DIY Essentials Class
Home Repair & DIY Essentials
Home Repair & DIY Essentials is a practical life skills course designed for students heading toward college, independent living, or their first apartment. This class teaches the basic repair, tool, safety, and maintenance skills every young person should know, but that most schools never cover.
Across four live Zoom sessions, students will learn how to safely use common tools, handle simple home repairs, understand basic measurements, troubleshoot everyday maintenance issues, and recognize when a problem requires a professional. Each session includes live instruction, real-world demonstrations, and Q&A with an experienced tradesperson.
Students will leave with a stronger sense of confidence, independence, and practical know-how for managing common home, dorm, apartment, and car-related issues.
